1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the LingaRise application or website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using LingaRise, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Maintain the security of your password and account.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Subscription and Payments
LingaRise offers Free, Silver, and Gold subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected at the time of purchase.
- Billing: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Refunds: We offer a 7-day refund policy for first-time subscribers. Refund requests should be submitted to support@lingarise.com.
- Price changes: We will provide reasonable notice before changing subscription prices. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the application.
- Share your account credentials with others.
- Submit content that is offensive, harmful, or infringes on third-party rights.
- Use automated tools or bots to access or interact with the Service.
6. Intellectual Property
All content within the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, audio, and software, is the property of LingaRise or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
By submitting any content (e.g. voice recordings for exercises), you grant us a limited licence to use that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
LingaRise is a supplemental language learning tool and does not guarantee fluency or any specific learning outcome.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LingaRise shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. CEFR Attribution
The Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) was developed by the Council of Europe. It organises language proficiency into six levels: A1 to C2. The levels are defined through ‘can-do’ descriptors.
